A very impressive and attractive misty blue hosta with lavender flowers. The curious leaves are heavily cupped, with good substance (that's hosta-speak for a heavy texture). My cats actually drink out of the water bowl formed by the leaves after a rain. Very resistant to slugs, which are the hosta's only known enemy (except careless kittens). 30" wide x 20" high, blue foliage that's heavily cupped and veined, lavender flowers, blooms in July.

Alex Summers Distinguished Merit Award – Limited Availability This hosta earned its place with beautiful oval teal leaves rimmed with chartreuse and heavy enough to deter pests. In addition it’s also one of the earliest flowering hostas, with showy white blossoms starting in mid to late June in Ohio. The fountaining habit of this hosta makes an elegant contrast with the many low shade plants commonly available. I’ve had difficulty finding this and I’m reserving most of my plants for propagation, so it you’d like it, order early. 24 x 48 with white flowers.
